We are seeking an Associate Director - Clinical Safety Testing to join IQVIA Laboratories in Valencia, CA .

As the Associate Director – Clinical Safety Testing, you will serve as a technical leader overseeing complex harmonization projects and the implementation of new initiatives.

What you’ll be doing:

• Providing technical leadership to lab staff and cross-functional teams.
• Leading and developing the execution of local and global laboratory technical support across various specialty areas.
• Developing and leading the global laboratory quality program and database, performing statistical analysis and quality control performance reviews.
• Overseeing complex projects and operational harmonization on a global scale.
• Driving new initiatives globally and cross-functionally, ensuring global execution.
• Serving as a subject matter expert for new platforms, assays, and kit selection, driving implementation.
• Leading proficiency testing and accreditation programs across global labs to ensure harmonization.
• Acting as a technical SME to liaise with IT/systems teams for appropriate functionality.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 9 years of experience in a clinical, research, academic, or commercial/production laboratory environment.
• Strong understanding of the clinical trial process and cross-functional dependencies.
• Ability to influence and motivate stakeholders to achieve aligned goals.
• Other equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.

The knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for this role:

• Strong knowledge of laboratory equipment, clinical laboratory assays, quality control, and validation procedures.
• Proficiency with complex laboratory calculations including averages, means, standard deviations, and various quality control metrics.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
