Job Description

The Role

The Business Intelligence Analyst provides critical support across all departments within the organization. They help query, analyze, and report on metrics of all kinds related to individual and company performance. They enable and assist with building meaningful reports and tools.

This role will collect, analyze, and manage data and information from multiple internal and external sources; identify and resolve conflicts that might exist within that data, and recommend solutions that deliver value and improve business processes. They contribute to continuous improvement of our data standards and integrity.

This position reports to the Director of Business Intelligence & Compliance. TBS views this as an entry level role that gains exposure to all areas of the business with daily interactions with the TBS executive team, our suppliers, our customers, and sales team. Strong performers will be a candidate for higher level roles in the organization in a 2-3 year window.

This is a Charleston, SC area based role. The individual in this role would be a part of our supporting team working in our Charleston, SC office.

Key responsibilities in the Business Intelligence Analyst role include:

Reporting:

  • Responsible for creating, maintaining and publishing standard reports on an on-going basis
  • Work on various analytics projects related to revenue management, sales performance, sales team effectiveness, and operations.
  • Execute ad hoc report requests for sales and leadership teams.
  • Provide training to sales organization on sales reporting system

Data :

  • Lead sales data collection and manipulation for TBS’ 350+ wholesaler partners.
  • Manual entry and/or creation of datasets where automation is not available (5-10% of role).
  • Investigate and resolve data issues reported by the team. Identify opportunities to automate, consolidate and simplify reporting.
  • Manage data set up for all new products, suppliers, and customers.
  • Provide database support to team members in pricing and compliance platforms
  • Manage updates to sales team’s mobile CRM application.

Requirements

To be seriously considered for this role, please have the following in regard to:

  • Experience: At least 1-3 years in a similar role working with data entry, analysis and reporting.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Mathematics, Economics, or related field.
  • Technology: Must have basic Excel proficiency. Knowledge of advanced Excel functions a plus.
  • Skills: Must love numbers, be detail oriented and have the ability to master multiple programs. Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills required.
