Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cable Technician to join our team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and decommissioning various cable systems to ensure optimal performance and connectivity for our Data Center client.

• Weekly pay +overtime pay

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and decommission cabling systems including network and cable lines throughout a Data Center
• Perform fiber splicing and ensure proper connections for high-speed data transmission.
• Utilize hand tools and voltmeters to troubleshoot and resolve issues in cable installations.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
• Conduct tests on installed systems to verify functionality and performance.
• Document work performed and maintain accurate records of installations and repairs.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their cable needs.

Clear must haves

• Prior experience in structured cabling - installation/decommissioning of network and cabling infrastructure; dressing cable, pulling low voltage cable, cable terminations etc
• Proven experience working with electrical systems, cabling, fiber splicing, and/or telecommunications
• Ability to use hand tools and voltmeters effectively for installation and troubleshooting tasks.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to interact with clients and team members professionally.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
