The Asian Art Museum of San Francisco is the world’s leading museum dedicated to connecting global audiences with Asian and Asian American art and culture. With a collection of 20,000 objects spanning over 6,000 years — from ancient sculpture to contemporary installations — the museum offers a powerful lens into the depth and diversity of Asian cultures. A vibrant center for public engagement, the museum is a place where history and the present meet to inspire a more connected future. The museum’s mission is to celebrate, preserve, and promote Asian and Asian American art and cultures for local and global audiences. It serves as a dynamic forum for exchanging ideas, inviting collaboration, and fueling imagination to deepen understanding and empathy among people of all backgrounds. I am looking for a strong, creative partner in a Chief Philanthropy Officer, who will embark on a meaningful journey with me that will transform the landscape of philanthropy and set the Asian Art Museum up for long-term sustainability and success. We have a committed and generous Board — one of the reasons I took this role — and Board Chair extraordinaire in Salle Yoo. If you are passionate about the power of art, are interested in Asian culture, are a strategic thinker and a good mentor, and want to work with dedicated people, I invited you to consider this position.— Dr. Soyoung Lee, The Barbara Bass Bakar Director and CEO For more information, including core competencies and qualifications, please refer to the .
