NOTE -> This role is for a BRAND NEW clinic in North Wilmington. This role is SUPER-CRITICAL to the smooth clinical operations and efficient world-class care. We are placing a priority on the personality and training aptitude of applicants. You would be the face of the clinic upon every client visit, and otherwise be the problem-solver of the whole operation. This is a high-impact role for the right candidate!

We will prioritize candidates that have direct experience with medical billing and working within the medical/patient care space in a client/patient-facing role.

What You'll be Working on:

  • Handle patient scheduling, appointments, multi-phone line
  • Gather new patient data; keep track of all patient referrals
  • Disseminate information to patients; act as a go-between for patients and physicians
  • Send and keep a log of all reports sent to doctors
  • Collect all payments; insurance verification
  • Collect/open mail; distribute mail to proper areas/people
  • Send benefits paperwork to billing companies
  • Handle all scheduling and ensuing communication
  • Answer phones, act as a patient liaison, answer any questions from potential or current patients
  • Schedule patients; coordinate evaluations, re-evaluations, appointment reminders and cancellations
  • Collect new patient intake information; track all clinic referrals
  • Fax reports to physicians; keep a log of incoming reports
  • Verify Insurance and track insurance-covered visits; take copayments
  • Check mail; keep track of Explanation of Benefits sent from mail and fax to billing company
  • Communicate with the office manager and clinicians about scheduling/patient arrival

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Great communicator and multitasker, detail-oriented
  • Positive attitude, good work ethic, integrity and empathetic toward people that are in pain
  • H.S. graduate or GED certificate
  • Up-to-date DL and a dependable vehicle
  • Excellent at handling details, communicating and multitasking
  • Great demeanor, strong integrity and compassion - we're really looking to drive incredible levels of service excellence with this position
  • Some "tech-aptitude" - this is a very portal-driven role, with a lot of your work being at the center of several different systems

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $32,000.00 - $42,000.00 per year
