Environmental Attorney

Philadelphia (Hybrid)

Compensation: $125,000 – $225,000 (DOE) plus bonus and comprehensive benefits.

A prominent, full-service law firm located in Philadelphia is seeking a skilled Environmental Attorney to join their team. This is a hybrid position that offers the flexibility of remote work while remaining connected to a dynamic, growing practice. The firm is committed to providing top-tier legal services and is looking for a highly qualified professional with a strong background in Environmental Law and Litigation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert legal counsel to clients in various industries on complex environmental matters.
  • Manage and handle environmental litigation cases, representing clients in state and federal courts.
  • Advise clients on regulatory compliance, permitting, and environmental risk management.
  • Lead environmental due diligence efforts for corporate transactions, mergers, and acquisitions.
  • Work on a variety of environmental law issues, including air, water, waste, land use, and environmental policy.
  • Develop strategies for environmental enforcement and defend clients in enforcement actions from federal and state agencies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve environmental disputes.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs, and negotiate settlements.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar is essential.
  • A minimum of 2-10 years of experience in Environmental Law, including litigation.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state environmental laws and regulations.
  • Proven ability to manage complex legal cases and work effectively with clients in the environmental sector.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
