Mission/Objective: Ensure facility compliance with the Corporate EH&S standards with regulatory requirements

What does your day look like?

  • Conduct EH&S audits and provides support and direction for corrective action
  • Provide regulatory interpretation and guidance for facility
  • Manage EH&S training database for facility
  • Monitor and coordinate facility EH&S permitting and legal compliance
  • Conduct investigations into accidents and incidents.
  • Create improvements in processes, design, procedures and programs to minimize risk
  • Maintain and improve safety management programs
  • Work effectively as a team player and leader achieving plant goals
  • Communicate safety goals and objectives to plant personnel
  • Manage the QSI software database
  • Training team members on relevant EH&S work instructions
  • Cost estimating, cost control and cost savings from safety improvements
  • Continuous Improvement of the EH&S Management System
  • Coordinate all safety teams to achieve plant goals
  • Additional responsibilities as required – this position is subject to change as the needs of the department change

Academic and Experience

  • Associate degree in EH&S or related field, or combination of education and related experience (Required)
  • 10+ years of experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS), with at least 5 years in a leadership role (Required).
  • Strong knowledge of EPA and OSHA regulations (Required).
  • Experience with Environmental System and management
  • Experience with ISO 14001 standard and ISO 45001
  • Experience ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
  • Knowledge of Local, State and Federal environmental regulations
  • Proven leadership in deploying practices, training tools/methodologies, or leading problem-solving initiatives within a Management Operating System (MOS).

Technical Skills

  • Proficient computer skills/Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point)
  • Proven Project Management skills
