Front Desk Administrative Assistant

Brookhaven, GA
Monday–Friday, Daytime Hours
Contract (potential to go perm): $28/hr

Our client is seeking a professional and highly organized Administrative Assistant to serve as the first point of contact at City Hall and provide administrative support to the Mayor’s Office. This is a dynamic role ideal for someone who thrives in a public-facing environment and enjoys contributing to the smooth operation of municipal government.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist visitors, residents, and vendors in a courteous and professional manner
• Answer and direct incoming calls and emails
• Manage appointment scheduling and maintain visitor logs
• Ensure the front desk area is welcoming, organized, and stocked with necessary materials
• Maintain confidential records and files
• Support special projects and community initiatives as directed by designated staff

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in administrative or front desk roles, preferably in a government or public service setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general office technology
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
• Professional demeanor and customer service orientation
