Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Designer to join our team and contribute to two specific projects until the end of the year. This role involves collaborating with a team in our Indianapolis office and working alongside senior team members on exciting projects. The first project is a healthcare facility in Hyde Park, Chicago, and the second is a terminal expansion at Dulles International Airport in DC.

Responsibilities

  • Lighting Design: Design and layout of lighting systems for various types of buildings, perform photometric calculations, and ensure compliance with energy codes. Coordinate with design teams and integrate lighting controls for efficiency.

  • Hydronic System Design: Design heating and cooling systems using hydronic principles, calculate load requirements, develop piping layouts, and ensure system efficiency and compliance.

  • General MEP Systems Design: Plan and design mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems using BIM tools, conduct clash detection, prepare construction documents, and ensure integration with structural elements.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in MEP design, specifically lighting and/or hydronics design.

  • Proficiency in Revit with the capability to produce models and drawings independently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience within healthcare and/or airport projects is advantageous.

Work Environment

This position is based in our new office on the north side of Indianapolis, within the Castle Creek Pkwy offices. Remote work may be considered but could impact long-term employment opportunities. The environment provides a chance to work closely with experienced engineers on high-profile projects in healthcare and other fields.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Indianapolis, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.86 - $57.70/hr.
