Position Summary :
The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the logistics team, ensuring the efficient movement of equipment, materials, and personnel to meet business needs. This role involves managing and optimizing logistics processes, supervising staff, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring compliance with safety and transportation regulations. The Logistics Supervisor plays a critical role in improving operational efficiency and ensuring timely delivery of services.

Role Responsibilities :
• Supervise and manage the daily activities of the logistics team, ensuring the efficient movement of equipment, materials, and personnel to and from job sites.
• Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize operations and reduce costs, including route planning, resource allocation, and scheduling.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels of chemicals, materials, and equipment to ensure adequate supply for field operations.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Ensure all logistics activities comply with safety, environmental, and transportation regulations, including proper documentation for chemical transport and equipment handling.
• Train and supervise logistics staff, providing guidance on best practices and safety standards.
• Communicate regularly with field operators, customers, and other departments to resolve any logistical issues and ensure smooth operations.
• Track and report on logistics performance, including equipment utilization, on-time deliveries, and cost efficiency, and identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure proper maintenance and repair of vehicles and equipment to minimize downtime and maintain operational readiness.
• Assist with the preparation of budgets and manage logistics-related expenses within the approved budget.
• Ensure accurate record-keeping for all logistics activities, including deliveries, inventory, and service schedules.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and enforce adherence to company safety policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.

Education :
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

Experience / Skills / Abilities :
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide staff.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Knowledge of transportation regulations, logistics best practices, and equipment maintenance.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in logistics software, Microsoft Office, and data management tools.
• Ability to adapt to changing business needs and manage logistics in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver’s license required, with the ability to travel locally as needed.

Job Expectations / Working Conditions :
• Ability to work in both office and field environments, with occasional exposure to outdoor conditions.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings and weekends during peak seasons.
• Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Must be able to travel between job sites and field locations as required.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant working environment for all logistics activities.
