Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Maintenance Mechanic I to join our team in New Port Richey, FL. This role involves performing maintenance and repair tasks on mechanical, electrical, piping, and structural systems within administrative buildings. The ideal candidate will have experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electromechanical systems , and be able to work efficiently to support facility operations.

Maintenance Mechanic I

New Port Richey, FL

Pay Rate: $21.30/hr

Shift: Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM

Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

• Perform diagnostics, repairs, and service on heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, material handling equipment, and other electromechanical systems.
• Conduct maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems as needed.
• May also perform welding tasks and rough carpentry work as part of general maintenance duties.
• Support the installation, rigging, and adjustment of equipment and systems across the facility.
• Ensure all maintenance work is done following safety regulations and industry best practices.
• Maintain and troubleshoot building systems and equipment to minimize downtime and ensure efficient facility operations.
• Collaborate with team members and assist with planning and layout for equipment installations and projects.
• Comply with all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and report any safety hazards or defects.
• Work throughout all parts of the facility as needed, ensuring maintenance needs are met across the site.

Required Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical or multi-skilled maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
2. Strong electromechanical repair and diagnostic skills.
3. Experience with general maintenance and troubleshooting of building systems.
4. Ability to apply theoretical knowledge to practical maintenance tasks.
5. Familiarity with regulated industries and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
6. Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
7. High school diploma or equivalent.
