Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Meat and Seafood Supervisor to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our meat and seafood departments meet the highest standards of product quality, presentation, and profitability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in merchandising, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Merchandising and Display:
  • Develop and implement merchandising plans that enhance product visibility and drive sales.
  • Ensure that all products are displayed in an eye-catching and hygienic manner, adhering to health and safety regulations. 
  • Coordinate promotional events and special displays to highlight seasonal or high-demand items.

  • Sales Analysis and Strategy:
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Provide training and support to store personnel on product knowledge and effective merchandising techniques. 

  • Quality Assurance and Compliance:
  • Regularly inspect meat and seafood products to ensure freshness, quality, and compliance with company standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and ensure all practices within the department are compliant.
  • Implement and oversee proper sanitation and food safety protocols to guarantee a safe shopping environment for customers.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in meat and seafood merchandising or a related field within the retail or supermarket industry.
  • Proven track record of increasing sales and improving product presentation.

  • Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong understanding of product selection, inventory management, and merchandising principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and motivate staff.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
