Job Description Join STS Technical Services and make a significant impact as a Mechanical Design Engineer in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, working for Global Power Components. This role is ideal for someone passionate about playing a key role in the design and manufacturing of tanks and enclosures in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You will be engaged in a variety of design and engineering tasks, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and timely delivery of projects to production. Responsibilities Design and detail components in support of quotations, orders, and manufacturing projects. Solve emerging issues, develop corrective actions, and implement solutions to enhance production efficiency. Collaborate closely with production teams to ensure design specifications and shop capabilities align. Engage in non-mechanical design tasks, including software troubleshooting, vendor communication, and customer interaction. Lead manufacturing and productivity improvements, focusing on both immediate and strategic solutions. Work intensively with manufacturing teams to innovate and implement production processes for new products. Conduct pre and post-reviews of projects to drive continuous improvements and cost reductions. Requirements Candidates must have at least 3-5 years of similar and recent work experience. Proficient in SOLIDWORKS with an expectation to pass a practical test during the hiring process. Experience with ERP systems, particularly PDM, is beneficial. Strong background in sheet-metal and weldment design. Familiar with various manufacturing processes and comfortable in a dynamic environment. Capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational and prioritization skills. Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design, or a related field is preferred.
