WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Part-Time Marketing Associate , you’ll support 43North’s marketing efforts across multiple channels, helping to elevate our brand, engage our audiences, and amplify the impact of our startups. You’ll play a key role in social media execution, content creation, campaign management, and analytics—contributing to a dynamic and ever-evolving marketing strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Social Media Management: Execute day-to-day social media strategy across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, X (Twitter), and TikTok, ensuring content is engaging, aligned with our brand, and optimized for reach.
• Content Creation & Optimization: Develop and edit marketing content, including social media posts, email copy, blog articles, and promotional materials. Work with internal and external creators to enhance storytelling through multimedia, SEO tactics, and data-driven insights.
• Campaign Support: Assist in planning and executing marketing campaigns for 43North events, portfolio company initiatives, and broader brand awareness efforts.
• Community Engagement: Foster connections with startup founders, investors, and partners by responding to messages, monitoring online conversations, and engaging with key audiences.
• Analytics & Reporting: Track key marketing metrics across digital platforms, analyze performance, and provide insights to refine strategies.
• Email Marketing & Website Updates: Assist with email marketing campaigns and website content updates to ensure consistency across all digital touchpoints.
• Brand Awareness & Trend Monitoring: Stay ahead of industry trends and bring creative marketing ideas to the team. Identify opportunities to amplify 43North’s presence through new channels, partnerships, and initiatives.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• Eagerness to live and work locally in Buffalo, NY, with a passion for the city itself and progress being made.
• Responsibilities may require evening and weekend work in response to internal and external needs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 1-3 years of experience in social media coordination, content creation, or a related role.
• Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and tools
• Excellent communication and writing skills with a love for grammar and proper punctuation with a passion for storytelling.
• Proficiency with social media analytics and tools to track engagement metrics.
• Creative mindset with the ability to adapt brand tone across platforms.
• Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite, Capcut, In-App Editing) is a plus.
• Team player with a proactive mindset, exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• A passion for venture, startups, etc. is ideal but not required.
