Job Description
Are you passionate about powersports and experienced in mechanical work? Polaris, a leader in off-road innovation, is seeking an ORV Mechanic to join our Vehicle Inventory Reduction team! In partnership with Doherty, this hands-on role supports our Engineering operations by refurbishing, inspecting, and preparing vehicles for resale or scrap.
What You'll Do:
• Refurbish off-road vehicles and perform necessary updates or repairs (engines, frames, transmissions, etc.)
• Conduct vehicle inspections using provided tablets
• Prepare vehicles for sale and scrap, including draining fluids and removing batteries
• Maintain vehicle inventory using desktop systems
• Support facility operations including track and trail maintenance
• Oversee organization of vehicle storage and inventory areas
• Travel periodically to support inventory management at other facilities
• Ensure safety and cleanliness of the work area in compliance with OSHA standards
What You Bring:
• High school diploma required; 2-year technical degree preferred
• Minimum 3 years of mechanical/technician experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Ability to operate forklifts; Skid Loader experience a plus
• Basic computer and Microsoft Excel skills
• Powersports, fabrication/welding, and diagnostic tool experience are preferred #NewCareerByDoherty
