This position supports the California Department of Public Health’s (CDPH) mission and strategic plan by performing a wide variety of the more complex technical analytical assignments relative to the quality assurance and production of vital records in the State.
The Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) has responsibility for preparing legislative concepts, legislative proposals, analyzing legislation, and defining State and Federal statutes to other staff, local health departments, county recorders’ offices, county clerks’ offices, and county coroners’ offices. The AGPA conducts independent research and analysis to maintain detailed knowledge and disseminate information. The AGPA may travel up to 5%, including overnight stays.
The incumbent works under the direction of the Staff Services Manager I, Chief of the Production Unit.
