We are a provider of precision metal manufacturing solutions, specializing in delivering high-quality machined components for the aerospace and aviation industries. We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Mid-Level Quality Manager to join our team. This individual will be responsible for maintaining our commitment to quality while ensuring efficient operations in our machine shop.

Position Overview:

As a Mid-Level Quality Manager, you will play a critical role in maintaining the highest standards of quality in our machining processes. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who is familiar with metal manufacturing processes and can contribute to the development and implementation of quality control systems. You will be responsible for overseeing first article inspections, ensuring adherence to specifications, and supporting hands-on quality improvement efforts across production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections and ensure parts meet specifications and tolerances.
  • Perform first article inspections (FAI) and document results.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve quality issues with production teams.
  • Maintain inspection records and prepare quality reports.
  • Work directly with operators and machinists to implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, AS9100).
  • Assist in training and mentoring quality team members.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in quality management within a machining or metal manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of machining processes (CNC, turning, milling).
  • Proficient in first article inspections and using precision measurement tools.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems (ISO, AS9100).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working hands-on in a machine shop environment.
  • Strong communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications: Six Sigma Green Belt or other relevant quality management certifications.
  • Software Skills: Familiarity with quality control software, ERP systems, and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
