UNDERSTANDING

As a Retail Manager, you will lead a dynamic team dedicated to delivering the World’s Best Customer Experience. You will oversee all aspects of store operations, ensuring a high-energy environment where both customers and team members thrive. Your proactive approach and organizational skills will drive the success of our retail operations, while your leadership will inspire and coach team members to achieve excellence.

They build the strongest relationships with the warehouse, logistics, and purchasing teams by being upfront and collaborative with team leaders. They are clear about departmental gaps and help provide guidance and resources to eliminate inefficiencies. This person uses their knowledge of retail to ensure the team operates at peak efficiency. They regularly evaluate processes and stay up to date with the latest technologies and trends to ensure the best customer experience. Through their leadership, they inspire and empower their team to deliver an exceptional customer experience, ultimately fostering brand loyalty and driving business growth in a fiercely competitive landscape.

WORKING RELATIONSHIP

Reporting to the Director of Retail & Ecommerce Operations, The Retail & Custom Gifting Manager will work directly with some areas of the company including warehouse, procurement, engineering, marketing, customer service, and human resources. They will work directly and indirectly with customers and vendor partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leadership & Management: Provide day-to-day leadership and management that aligns with the company’s mission and core values. Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment.
  • Customer Experience: Ensure customers receive a “World’s Best” experience by training retail supervisors, leads, and associates on best practices for customer interaction and service.
  • Operational Excellence: Organize, direct, and coordinate all aspects of retail store operations. Manage team member schedules and staffing requirements.
  • Team Development: Train and evaluate personnel on policies and procedures. Motivate associates, establish rewards, and lead by example.
  • Collaboration: Build strong relationships with retail, warehouse, and supporting departments. Communicate regularly with team members and other departmental leaders.
  • Innovation & Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends. Regularly evaluate processes to ensure peak efficiency and the best customer experience.
  • Inventory Management: Review inventory and sales records, prepare reports for management, and requisition new stock as needed.
  • Compliance: Ensure team member compliance with quality, HACCP, GMP, and food safety standards. Adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and businesses.
  • Customer Retention: Develop strategies to improve customer retention.
  • Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with vendors to source quality items.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall success of the retail operations.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of management experience, retail preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – working with management & customers.
  • Hard worker who is a self starter and innovative.

  • Retail Operations Experience.
  • Prior leadership experience within a customer service-based environment
  • Great verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
  • Must be able to speak, read and write in English.

EDUCATION

  • Must have a High School Diploma or a G.E.D.
