Job Description

The Manager, Commercial Training Excellence will play a key role in the development of all commercial staff within the Biopharma department. Must possess a solid understanding of market access, field, and marketing strategies to design, and manage skill development workshops and learning programs that enable executional excellence. Ensures consistent communication between all commercial leaders and departments to become an advanced training and development liaison.

The position will also partner with Fresenius Kabi HR on the development of programs such as competency models, career pathing and professional development for all commercial roles from marketing to sales to market access.

Collaborates with the other members of the commercial operations excellence team on a variety of other initiatives that support the business unit including digital execution, new hire onboarding, global initiatives for commercial excellence.

This role requires working collaboratively and coordinating with various stakeholders, as well as driving projects to completion in a timely manner. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team setting are key attributes required for this position.

This is a hybrid position, and the selected candidate will be required to work onsite in the Lake Zurich, Illinois office 3 days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Partners with marketing leads on launch needs, including pre-launch, launch meeting workshops, and post meeting skill enhancement.
  • Measures success of programs and skills through a variety of measurement tools including coaching reports, surveys, and digital effectiveness tools.
  • Partners with sales and commercial leaders on career pathing tools and programs to grow and continue to build skill sets that set the organization and company as a leader in the field.
  • Works with compliance, legal, and regulatory to ensure field training is in line with company current promotional guidelines.
  • Provides guidance and leadership to field personnel fostering an environment of critical thinking and best practice. Asking critical questions throughout the year so that best practices and learning methods are shaped adequately, consistently, and proactively with all commercial field personnel.
  • Performs needs assessments, anticipates and analyzes business needs; identifies potential talent gaps and ensures alignment of learning solutions with business goals.
  • Plays a leadership role in planning, designing, and participation of National Sales Meetings and Regional “Plan of Action” (POA) Meetings.
  • Works closely with internal executive leaders to ensure the commercial staff supports identified needs and requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of pharmaceutical business experience, including 2+ years of Pharmaceutical Learning and Development experience.
  • Biosimilar experience preferred.
  • Successful communication with business leaders at all levels to design and develop innovative learning methodologies.
  • Experience leading organizational change initiatives.
  • Strong communication skills – verbal, written, and presentation.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills. Strong business acumen.
  • Understands field perspectives, customer perspectives, and can verbalize those in a way that internal leaders can understand and take into account for strategic decisions.
  • Ability to travel for meeting engagements e.g. National Sales Meetings, Regional POA Meetings, various training initiatives, etc.

Additional Information

Salary Range: $110,000 - $120,000 per year. Position is eligible to participate in a bonus plan with a target of 10% of the base salary. Final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to experience level, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
