As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol - Flex in Bartow, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. This is an armed post, requiring you to carry and maintain proficiency with a firearm as part of your daily duties. You will interact with staff and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding the highest standards of professionalism. Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon07:00 AM - 03:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for government locations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
• Monitor for unusual activity and report observations according to site procedures.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disturbances and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
• Interact professionally with staff, visitors, and members of the public, addressing inquiries and providing assistance as appropriate.
• Document incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.
• Carry and responsibly handle assigned firearms and related equipment in compliance with all applicable laws and company policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent is required.
• Must possess an armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
• Must have at least two years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience or possess a college degree.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
