As a Security Professional with Allied Universal assigned to a government location, you will play a key role in access control operations. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and operating alarm panels to help to deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols throughout the assigned area, remain highly visible, and provide outstanding customer service to all visitors and staff. Your ability to use computers or tablets will support your daily tasks and reporting. This position requires a valid driver's license in the job state, as you may be required to operate a vehicle as part of your duties. Security Officer - Entry Level - Correctional Site

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeTue10:00 PM - 06:00 AMWed10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Must have Clean Criminsl History

Valid Driver's License required

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises.
• Provide customer service by assisting visitors and staff with access-related inquiries and following site-specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and report any unusual activity.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by site policies.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary, following communication protocols.
• Support emergency response activities as directed, including assisting with evacuations or lockdowns as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
