As a Security Professional - Armed Patrol - Flex in Lakeland, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment within a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible to help prevent incidents, and responding promptly to any security-related concerns. You will interact with the public and staff, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding the highest standards of professionalism. This armed post requires you to carry a firearm as part of your daily duties. DayTimeSun06:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for unusual or suspicious behavior and report findings according to site procedures.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential incidents and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
• Interact professionally with law enforcement and/or emergency personnel when required.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and activities during each shift.
• Follow all site-specific instructions and protocols, including those related to armed patrol duties.

• Availability across various days and shifts
• Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
• A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
• Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or hold a college degree.
• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or an equivalent program.
• Possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
• Possess a valid corrections officer license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
• Possess a valid law enforcement officer license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
