Job Description

We have an opportunity with our client to be a Senior Business Analyst. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will provide a wide range of services to the customer in support of their business mission and IT-related needs. The Sr. Business Analyst is involved in the management, oversight, analysis, and execution of projects encompassing the life cycle of business systems or IT systems. The Sr. Business Analyst interacts with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and executive management to understand their problems, needs, and requirements and makes recommendations, as needed. The Sr. Business Analyst facilitates interactions between development, security, operations, and compliance teams to ensure successful project outcomes.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Manage the full life cycle of IT-related projects, including application development, SharePoint sites, IT infrastructure, alternatives analysis, and security.
• Create a wide range of documentation, including SDLC artifacts, presentations/briefings, executive summary reports, status reports, and customer communications.Written products must be of sufficient quality to deliver and present to senior management.
• Provide inputs to cost/benefit analyses and other cost estimation activities.
• Provide advice and support to junior team members.
• Create and manage project schedules and provide status updates to the team and contract management.
• Assess commercial and government product performance against requirements and recommend adoption.
• Facilitate meetings with project stakeholders to develop and review requirements and specifications.
• Work collaboratively with development, operations, and security teams to identify and resolve project risks and issues and move projects forward according to scope and schedule.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute inter-team and customer events such as continuity of operations exercises, training events, user testing, and product delivery.
• Prepare communications plans and artifacts regarding product deployments.
• Analyze business processes and provide improvement recommendations and associated process and procedure documentation.

Qualifications:

• 11 years of experience in IT project planning, analysis, and execution, and/or business consulting
• A bachelor's degree and applicable direct work experience may be an acceptable substitute.
• Strong analytic skills.
• Ability to communicate complex information professionally and efficiently to various audiences, including technical, business, and management staff. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential. The customer must accept deliverables with minimal draft revisions.
• Ability to work independently, multitask, and support multiple efforts simultaneously.
• Team player who is flexible and delivery oriented.
• Proven capabilities in business analysis, project management, and requirements gathering across various IT functional areas (development, operations, security).
• Working knowledge of Microsoft O365 products, including Visio and MS Project.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen with Active Secret clearance (TS preferred) or ability to obtain a clearance.
