Responsibilities:

  • Enhancing Data & Analytics Capabilities: Drive the development and improvement of data and analytics resources within the organization.
  • Client Data Modeling & Reporting Leadership: Take ownership of data modeling and reporting initiatives for specific clients, ensuring internal and client teams possess the necessary data for media campaign planning and optimization.
  • Cross-Client Data Accessibility: Collaborate with senior BI team members on broader data modeling and reporting projects to maximize data accessibility throughout the organization.
  • Unifying Disparate Data: Construct integrated data models from diverse sources, enabling both technical and non-technical stakeholders to utilize the information effectively.
  • Ensuring Data Integrity: Develop and maintain automated data tests to guarantee high data quality across all data models.
  • Data Warehouse Integration: Partner with the Data Engineering team to incorporate new data sources into the data warehouse and integrate them into existing data models.
  • Data Product Innovation: Design and prototype new data products to expand the BI team's offerings and capabilities.
  • Insightful Data Visualization: Create data visualizations and dashboards to highlight trends and insights for business teams and clients.
  • Team Skill Development: Mentor and enhance the skills of team members through collaborative efforts and knowledge sharing.
  • Driving Data Product Adoption: Promote the understanding and utilization of data products across various teams.
  • Data Liaison Role: Serve as a key point of contact between the Analytics team and other internal teams regarding data sources, access, and reporting availability.
  • Data Education for Non-Technical Teams: Educate non-technical team members on the available data products and best practices for leveraging data in their decision-making processes.
  • Client KPI Development: Collaborate with clients to understand their data needs and establish meaningful Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for media campaigns.

Qualifications:

  • Experience within the media, advertising, or direct-response industries.
  • A background in data or analytics with a strong interest in building processes, automation, and tooling.
  • A proven track record of automating and improving workflows to minimize manual tasks.
  • Solid proficiency in SQL and some practical experience with Python in a professional setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with both business and engineering/technical teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2-4 years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience within the media, advertising, or similar industry.
  • 2-3 years of hands-on experience using SQL in a work environment.
  • 1-2 years of experience utilizing Python or a similar programming language in a professional context.
  • 1-2 years of experience with a cloud data warehouse such as Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, or Snowflake.
  • Preferred experience with Git or a comparable version control system.
  • Preferred experience with a query engine like Presto, Hive, or Spark SQL.
  • Preferred experience with BI or dashboarding tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Domo.
  • Preferred experience with dbt (data build tool).
