Senior/Research Associate - Histology

We are seeking a skilled Senior/Research Associate to join an exciting and growing biotechnology company based in South San Francisco, CA. This role offers the chance to contribute to innovative advancements in histology and tissue analysis while collaborating with a driven, multidisciplinary team.

This opportunity is offered on a full-time and permanent basis, and is targeting a base salary of between $95-120K per year. The salary offer will be based on a variety of factors, including experience, qualifications, internal equity etc.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage a tissue processing workflow on-site.
• Partner with internal teams to process samples and prepare them for histological, IHC, and RNAscope evaluations.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience, with a preference for those with industry backgrounds.
• Skills: Analytical thinking, excellent communication, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Adaptability: Willingness to master new methods and excel in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Technical Expertise:

• Demonstrated proficiency in embedding and sectioning FFPE samples across multiple types.
• Hands-on experience in preparing slides for IHC and molecular analyses (RNAscope, Visium, etc.).
• Knowledge of tissue processing equipment, embedding stations, and microtomes (e.g., Leica, Sakura, Epredia).
