Are you a dedicated and experienced maintenance professional looking to take the next step in your career? Gallo is seeking a Sr. Facilities Maintenance Assistant to join our team. Under minimal supervision, you will be responsible for conducting general building maintenance service calls, performing routine preventative maintenance on facility utility components, office reconfiguration, inventory maintenance, and building inspections. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our facilities remain compliant with all local, state, and federal codes while maintaining the highest standards of service and quality at the lowest cost.

Your day-to-day tasks will include performing preventative maintenance on a wide range of equipment, from irrigation pumps and HVAC units to water heaters and office furnishings. You will troubleshoot and log service issues, coordinate maintenance operations, and ensure that all equipment is functioning properly. In addition, you will make necessary repairs, replacements, and adjustments, and provide support to Building Maintenance Mechanics on complex repair projects. You will also mentor junior maintenance assistants, efficiently use materials and equipment, and conduct routine building inspections.

What You Need

•  High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 4 years of facilities maintenance, handyman experience, or production maintenance experience, reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
•  Required to work one weekend per month as needed.
•  Candidate is required to have a valid driver's license, a safe driving record at the time of hire. This position will undergo a motor vehicle check (MVR) to confirm a history of safe and responsible driving. If needed, candidate must obtain the appropriate state driver's license based on the position's location within 30 days of hire.
•  Required to lift 100lbs as well as lift and carry 75lbs up flights of stairs and ladders.
•  Required to work on ladders, building rooftops and crawl through tight spaces (e.g. attics and basements).
•  Skilled in reading, comprehending, interpreting and executing simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
•  Skilled in writing simple correspondence.
•  Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing using whole numbers.
•  Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
•  Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

What Will Set You Apart

•  Facilities maintenance experience.
•  Possess strong mechanical aptitude.
•  Self-motivated team player; experience recognizing and solving maintenance problems/issues and suggesting improvements.
•  Skilled in maintaining professionalism and experience working with all functions and levels of the organization.
•  Experience using and operating building maintenance equipment such as welders, torches, vacuum pumps, multimeters, computers, plumbing and light equipment.
•  Some experience in the use of MS Windows, MS Internet Explorer, MS Word and Excel as well as equipment and contractor software.

Compensation:

•  Hiring Salary Range Posted: $29.86 - $40.34 / hour
•  Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
