As a Machine Operator at Wheatland Tube, located in Rochelle, IL, you will play a key role in setting up and operating high-speed equipment with robotic elements to form or cut steel to specified dimensions and specifications. This role is perfect for someone who is detail-oriented, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and is dedicated to ensuring quality and operational efficiency. Shift: 2nd. Pay: $24-25 Base Hourly + Production Incentive. Responsibilities include operating equipment efficiently and effectively while adhering to all safety and LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) rules; performing advanced setup and calibration of all equipment to meet production specifications; inspecting materials for quality issues before, during, and after production; recording and reporting any deficiencies in quality; maintaining equipment tooling and tools; diagnosing equipment and quality problems; performing housekeeping tasks; completing production reports; assisting maintenance teams; participating in continuous improvement programs; and performing additional duties as assigned. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, previous manufacturing or industrial experience preferred, ability to read, write, and maintain production records in English, strong math skills, experience with measuring devices, ability to operate forklifts and cranes, detail-oriented, ability to lead and promote health and safety practices, and physical abilities to stand, bend, climb, stoop, push, pull, lift up to 60 lbs, and remain stationary for extended periods.
